By raising levels of physiological activity, the name says it all, doesn’t it? Stimul8 was created with a host of ingredients to work synergistically to propel your workouts to the next level and beyond. To date this is still one of the most powerful preworkout formulas that I have ever tried. What is Stimul8? Stimul8 falls under the preworkout category, but with the inclusion of Finaflex’s IRISINXD technology, it doubles as a great fat burner product as well. Stimul8 engages the body into a state of extreme thermogenesis, slicing through adipose tissue while preserving and increasing lean body mass and providing users with unparalleled levels of energy. Let’s break down what Stimul8 is by disseminating each key ingredient and how exactly the synergistic combination of ingredients will help provide you with endurance, energy and increased fat loss.
Beta Alanine
Our First ingredient in the list is Beta Alanine, one of the few supplements like creatine monohydrate, which has lived up to all of its expectations and claims. Once consumed Beta Alanine will convert over to carnosine, essentially making it a precursor and working to buffer lactic acid in our muscles. But the effects don’t just stop there, it will also offset excess hydrogen ions during intense exercise, giving it almost an antioxidant effect protecting against cellular damage. Research also shows that beta alanine is quite effective for decreasing neuromuscular fatigue.
1,3,7-Trimethylxanthine
What’s the preworkout category without some caffeine? Caffeine is by far in my top 5 ergogenic aids you can supplement with to increase your performance. It is a powerful stimulant of our central nervous system and also serves to increase catecholamine production, decrease the rate of perceived exertion, increase bronchodilation, increase fatty acid oxidation, increase basal metabolic rate, and increase exogenous carbohydrate metabolism and utilization. Caffeine also delays mental fatigue during intense exercise, allowing you to push a little harder in the gym.
Β-phenethylamine HCL
This is a stimulant containing substance which functions as a neurotransmitter within our bodies and is naturally found in foods such as chocolate. It is purported to have mood altering effects and may trigger sensations such as alertness and euphoria making this a nootropic type ingredient.
IRISINXD
Green Tea Extract (standardized for 60% EGCG)
Much like caffeine, green tea is one beneficial ingredient to aid in the body’s recomposition effects. Its effects are derived from the polyphenols contained within, the most popular being EGCG. This ingredient has many positive effects but let’s focus on its fat burning effects for the purpose of this article. Green tea seems to exhibit positive effects on body composition by reduction body fat via increased lipolysis and oxidation of fat, as demonstrated in double-blind, placebo controlled studies. When coupled with caffeine, there seems to be a greater synergistic effect on fat oxidation and may even have positive effects on glucose metabolism.
Theobroma cacao seed extract [standardized for 95% N-coumaroyldopamine]
N-Coumaroyldopamine is derived from Theobroma cacao seed extract and functions as beta 2 adrenergic receptor antagonist, making it a favorable addition to the formula as these particular receptors play an integral role in skeletal muscle tissue and the function of fat metabolism. Stimulation of the beta receptors will ultimately result in the breakdown of fat during periods of intense exercise.
Hordenine HCL
Hordenine HCL is a stimulant that functions as a noradrenaline reuptake inhibitor causing adrenaline like effects following consumption, thus causing lypolytic type effects. Due to the method in which it is metabolized, it may indirectly positively affect your mood. Hordenine functions similarly to an MAO inhibitor in that it indirectly increase’s dopamine levels (feel good hormone) and may also have functions which promote levels of satiety. Overall this is a great addition to co-function with other stimulants, improve fat loss, and improve mood/concentration during training.
Advantra Z (Citrus Aurantium Extract Powder 50%)
Also known as synephrine, it is a stimulant that is chemically/structurally similar to ephedrine, which interacts with various adrenergic receptors throughout our bodies. Synephrine has many benefits as a fat burning ingredient through its unique effects on our resting metabolic rates and thermogenesis in general. On its own synephrine has a mild effect at best, but when combined with other stimulants, in particular caffeine, this ingredients effects seem to become potentiated. When added with other ingredients synephrine was shown to increase not only resting basal metabolic rates but also fatty acid oxidation along with fatty acid liberation, making this a potent ingredient in the formula to assist in enhancing body composition.
Rauwfolia Vomitoria (Root Bark) (standardized for 90% Rauwolscine)
This is an alkaloid form derived from Yohimbine which functions as an alpha 2 –adrenoreceptor antagonist that may in fact be more beneficial than traditional yohimbine due to its influence on the same receptor. Much like N-Coumaroyldopamine, this compound’s effects on adrenergic receptors allows it to play an integral role in skeletal muscle tissue and the function of fat metabolism. As an antagonist, Rauwolscine inhibits the alpha receptor and allows the catecholamines, epinephrine and norepinephrine, to continue being released, thus prolonging lipolysis and increasing thermogenesis.
Summary
In conclusion Stimul8 works great not because of one key ingredient, but because of the combination and synergistic effects of all the ingredients. It works not only to give you that added kick to your workout, but also to contribute at the cellular level to help fight fat. Overall each specific ingredient helps give Stimul8 unique features, but together, provide possibly the best motivation you will ever need.
